On An Other Note

No this photo isn't from today it is from last weekend(the 11th). I can't believe how it has cooled off since then. Granted we were having higher than ave. temps, but it was a heck of a lot warmer. I was excited I got to have Miss PB wear the shorts before next summer in case she grew out if them. I snagged them on clearance.
I had a ton of things I wanted to post about and it figures I can't remember hardly any of them. But I know 2 of them for sure so I'll run with that.
J is on the executive board of our union at work. I know there are mixed feelings about unions and well, even I have mixed feelings and I belong to one. Anyhoo, he has to go to some meetings in the Dells next month and he asked if I wanted go but it wasn't on my days off. I said where are you staying and he said the Kalahari. I said I will find a way to get off. I still have vacation days to use. I will get a mini get away and Peanut Butter and I can play in the waterpark. I may see if I can sneak in a spa treatment of some sort. Maybe we can also meet up with Nana for dinner one night.
My other thought was a costume for halloween. I know it is getting late in the game, but I just decided I might want to dress up to take the girl trick or treating. I do not however know what to go as. I almost bought a Cinderella costume at Target today, since PB likes Cinderella, but I didn't. I may have to go a searching for an easy one I can make. Since I don't want anything scary or whorey to go around the neighborhood with my daughter. I might just get a red cape and do red riding hood. Are you dressing up and if so what are you going as?

Yay! Kalahari is so fun. I've heard. I've never been there, but it sounds like a blast!

I always dress up for Halloween. It is one of my favorite "holidays".
This year I wanted to go as a fairy but I couldn't think of anything to wear with the wings and I didn't want to buy a costume cuz I didn't want to look like a hoochie fairy. So when I found this super bright red, long, FUZZY sweater at Goodwill for $4 I knew I had to incorporate it into a costume. I decided to wear the sweater with black leggings and black boots and go as a little red devil. I have a short red wig and little horns too. I'm kind of excited about it. Can you tell? ;)

Wow, am I relating to you today! Yeah, I have millions of topics in my head-right until I sit down at my computer.
Can you believe that I have lived only 2 hours from the Dells my WHOLE life and have never been there? My husband is shocked. One of these days I'll make it up there.
As for the costumes-I'm with you I almost bought the Cinderella one from Target. I don't think I'll end up dressing up though.
I LOVE those little shorts Miss PB has on. They are darling and I love when we get the good stuff for the great prices too! Good luck with this cold stuff this week. Can you believe I heard the words 'lake effect snow' yesterday on the news?

Kalahari IS a blast! As for a costume? HA, I wish I could plan that far ahead. My guy is going as Thomas so maybe I'll go as the big, fat conductor. It'll work. :)

I'm going as the really tired looking mom who raced her kids home from school and painted them up while the toddler destoyed the house and then drove an hour to trick or treat. That's what I'm going to be. No sewing involved.
Is PB getting excited or does she have absolutely no clue what you're going on about? I can't wait to see Miss Ky be handed candy just for approaching a door, it could be the start of something disastrous!
