I Miss It
Don't tell J, but I am actually missing baseball. It quite possibly is my favorite sport of The Boy's to watch. He really started to become a good player this year. He started smacking the crap out of the ball even as his Dad is yelling the whole time. As much time as I spent chasing Peanut Butter around, I still got to see a lot of the games. As he moves up to another level next year, I hope he takes in what we tell him about becoming a leader, keeping a level head, and just plain playing the game. Right now I'll watch the Little League World Series for my fix and I will sit through football and basketball knowing baseball is around the corner.
A final thought, what is up with the Olympics trying to do away with softball, seriously if they are giving medals for BMX, I think we can keep softball, my future catcher has to have a dream.

Well, I don't have the passion for baseball that you do, but I agree about the Olympics. BMX? Why not bowling? The reality is that they are taking away women's softball because, until today, the American women have been unbeatable since 1996. So, rather than everyone raising their game, they'll just take away the event. Nice huh?

I hear you on the Olympics.....totally lame.

Weren't you just saying you were so glad that baseball was over? ;)

I am with you on the Olympics thing. Just because we dominate a sport should not be reason to stop having it. Should they do away with diving because the Chinese dominate that?

I hear ya on the Olympics, can you believe it? Why is it we miss something as SOON as it's gone (otherwise we complain about it - ME especially). OY. :)

I hear ya...eventhough I complain about the fact I could be doing a million things while sitting and watching a game..secretly, I miss it. I miss the breeze, the rooting, the peanuts and the smiles of a game played great! I get ya!

Yeah, so did you realize they are getting rid of baseball in the olympics too? Softball because the US team is too good and baseball because it isn't like basketball full of superstars...so totally lame. They say it's cause the rest of the world doesn't have the equipment and training for the softball teams. Oh well, maybe they will be able to get them put back in!

Yeah I read about baseball last night while reading and article about the USA softball shocking loss. What defines summer more than baseball, I know other countries play it. But lets keep table tennis or ping pong as most peeps call it. Like any one has a fighting chance in that one. I'm sorry countries agreeing to host the games have to build the fields, but didn't you agree to host the dang thing. ARGH

I love to go out and watch baseball. I can't stand to watch it on tv though... My kids are into soccer but I wouldn't mind being taken out to the ball game!
