Photostory Friday: A Kick in the Hinder

In my desperation to get Peanut Butter potty trained I had her pick out a pack of underwear she would like hoping this would be some needed motivation. She picked out Diego, these happen to be boy underwear, but at this point I do not care. The thing about Diego underwear is the cool pictures are on the back. She was upset she could not see Diego and the monkey.

She decided she wasn't going to wear them the way they were supposed to go if she couldn't see the picture.

Apparently this is much better.

My friend and I were discussing our potty training woes and she practically has her boy all set. I have been, to be honest, a push over here. I was giving in to wearing pull ups and not "forcing" issue. I'm glad we had our chat, I put Peanut Butter in underwear this evening and she has been dry since 4:30pm. We even went to her brother's baseball game without an accident. I normally would have put her in a pull up just to avoid the accident, but I brought a change of clothes and all went well. I explained to PB at bath time that we were not going to wear diapers during the day anymore. She moaned a little and I said now lets get on the potty she pulled the step over and got on the potty and went. Why the heck didn't I do this sooner? I'm glad my friend kicked me in my hinder.

The whole potty training thing is a challenge! I finally got my son trained by his third birthday...the cars undies really were a helper!

I laughed right out loud when I saw those undies on backward! Whatever works, though that's what I say!

You go girl! Love the new style of panties, even on backwards. NO MORE Pull Ups. Bring a set of dry clothes and panties. That's what I did, skipped Pull Ups altogether. It took a week before Izzy realized it didn't feel good to pee her pants WITHOUT a diaper on.

Good luck and great PSF!

My experience with all three of my kids is that when they're ready, they're ready -- and one day it just clicks.

Good Luck!

I love that last picture! Super cute! I think you were the one needing convincing that it could be done! Good for you. I think pull ups are just fancy diapers, they never fooled my kids!

Oh my. This just has me giggling out loud. There is just NOTHING funnier than toddler crack than toddler undies on backwards! Oh I adore your little girl!

Too funny about the undies. Whatever works, right?

Izzy only gets a pull up at naptime...I haven't fought that battle yet. And, she still has accidents, but usually, they happen at home!

Good luck.

Would you believe we have the EXACT same problem with undies around here?! Both kids insist on wearing their unders backwards so that they can see the pictures. We have also had to have some major discussions about keeping the pictures to ourselves . . . they have tried to flash them in public on more than one occasion!

Those undies are hysterical! Good for PB for knowing what she wants. Congrats on the training too! Isn't it cool when they just decide to 'get it?' It totally makes our job much easier.

LOL at the underwear on backwards. Who cares? She didn't NEED the opening in the front. lol!

And this is perfect timing...because I learned on Leslie's blog tonight that June is Potty Training Awareness Month. Did ya' know?

Ugh! doesn't kill you. Somedays its a fight and then boom something changes. I ended up doing the underwear thing and just dealing with accidents....and because at first there were so many I went with no underpants while at home....LOL

My niece also had the diego underpants....The teachers at school once questioned my SIL and asked if maybe my niece switched with one of the boys during the day.

I've got a ways to go around here until potty training. My son doesn't appear to register a need or awareness of pee at all. I'm not looking forward to it, though.
