Hello Weekend

I am upon another 4 day weekend. I took last Saturday and Sunday off thinking I was going to go up north. Since the weather was going to be crap, Miss Peanut Butter, The Boy, and I hung out all weekend while J went up north. I even entrusted The Boy with babysitting duties and went out to dinner with a few friends. It was so nice to enjoy a nice dinner. I started to freak out when he wouldn't answer the phone. Apparently someone hit the do not disturb button and he never heard it ring. I was racing home in my car with hardly any brakes left to find out they were just fine. I finally got my car in to get new breaks and was quoted $250 and then they came out and said sorry you need new rotors and those are another 150. Oy, I was not happy, aren't rotors something you get every time you get new brakes, I thought they were in the original $250. Since I was at the point of no brakes left, I ponied up the money.
The Boy and I are just about on nonspeaking terms. I am at the point of completely giving up asking him to do anything. He seems to just ignore me and stare at me dumbfoundedly. I cannot take it anymore, just as baseball games start on Saturday.
I attempted the 30 day shred that everyone is hyping about and holy moly, I am feeling the burn today and I only did half of it because I ran out of time. I am hoping my new running shoes show up tomorrow, but if they don't I will attempt the shred again.
I am looking forward to having 4 days off.

The Magic of Bubbles

Earlier today Miss Peanut Butter got up from a nap just screaming. If that wasn't bad enough, she was screaming for Daddy. Since when am I not good enough? I put a call into Daddy at work hoping this would end the tirade, it however did not.

This is the scene an hour after waking from the nap. I told her to get her brother and lets go outside. Ah, the magic of bubbles.

There it is, a huge smile on her face. She is so into bubbles right now, if she could be out side with bubbles all day she would.

She even got her brother out of his cave and shooting bubbles. I'm sure we'll be blowing a lot of bubbles tomorrow because the weather is going to be gorgeous.

Does it Ever End and Random Facts

I have had this stinking cold for about a week now. It is driving me absolutely crazy. I hate being stuffed up. My Mom was kind enough to watch Miss Peanut Butter this weekend while I worked and J went about doing his baseball stuff. I think they had a good time together. I tried getting PB in underwear this evening. She did great before her bath, but insisted on having her pj bottoms on after I put underwear on again and I said I'd like to not get pee on the bottoms. She took the underwear off and grabbed a pull up and started to put that on. We may have to do another boot camp this coming weekend. I was going to go with J up to Hurley, but I don't think I have enough to do with PB up there. I'd say maybe we need a girl's weekend, but we have girl time quite a bit since baseball started.

Make sure you vote in Michelle's photo contest.

Candy tagged me with a random facts tag so here we go:

1. I can eat right or left handed. My Dad would make us eat with our left hands to try to get us better at sports.

2. I used to love watching college basketball all the time, I barely made it through a few games of March Madness this year, and almost forgot when the Championship game was on. But I hate UNC so I didn't watch much of that either.

3. I do not like gold jewelry. I like silver or white gold.

4. As bad as I know diet coke is for you, I cannot give it up.

5. I perfer to write with extra fine point pens. They make my writing somewhat legible.

6. I play Mafia Wars on facebook.

7. I had my front teeth broken off by a car door.

8. I loved Sesame Street as a kid and think that Elmo has ruined it.

9. I like to do crosswords.

10. I do not like stupid comedies like dumb and dumber, I will tolerate Will Ferrell on occasion and some Ben Stiller.

11. I am a VH1 reality junkie, though Dr. Drew is my favorite.

12. I don't like mayo or mustard.

13. I am allergic to cats.

14. I like to oogle the clothes in magizines even though I have no where to wear the items. Not that I could afford some of the pretty items I adore.

15. I'm not a player, I would rather read books than play princesses.

I'm starting to draw a blank so 15 it is.

Where Daddy Go?

Peanut Butter and I went to the Henry Vilas Zoo today. If you live near Madison, WI, and have younger kids this Zoo is perfect. It is small enough to get through in 2 hours, it is free, it has a nice play area, and enough of the "cool" animals to keep them going. We saw their tiger today it was pacing right in front of the observation window and it was huge. I don't think I even realized how big they really are. The giraffes weren't out and Peanut Butter desperately wanted to see a zebra, but I don't think they have one, if they did it wasn't out. I can't remember if they had one the other times we were there. A few things weren't open yet since it is still the off season, but the carosel was and PB loved it. It turned out to be a perfect day weather wise too.

The famous question around here lately is, "Where Daddy Go?" J has been uber busy with baseball for the last month her has hardly been here. We get a dinner in every so often and Sunday it was pulling teeth to get him to come to the park. I'm like you can do the park for an hour. It is driving me insane having PB ask me the question a bagillion times a day. She has even began to cry for him, which never used to happen that was reserved just for me. So she is becoming a total Daddy's girl, or he really is gone a lot. The other thing that sucks about it is he thinks he is going to be home by certain times and that never happens if he says I should be home by 8 I don't really expect him until at least 8:30-9. Supposively once league play gets started he won't be as busy, but that is what he said last year too.

Speech Therapy

The poor speech therapist came over again today. Miss Peanut Butter get so overly excited that she is practically screaming at her. This makes it even harder to understand sometimes. She has a hard time sitting still then too. We've tried having her sit in my lap and in a chair, but she is all over the place. Today we had the added benefit of no nap, so she started having mini meltdowns when things weren't going her way. For some reason she has been drooling like crazy, I don't know if it is the way she is talking or what, add that with a runny nose and it is a big mess. She seems to be doing ok, except for the fact that she tries to speak way too fast and it all runs together and can be hard for someone who isn't with her everyday to understand.

We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares and go Downtown

It has seemed like the longest week. I am wiped out. It will certainly be nice to sleep in tomorrow. Last night after Peanut Butter sneaked into our bed we were all snuggled up and felt so good to be cuddling/sleeping there with her in my arms I didn't want to get out of bed when the alarm went off. It is always so hard for me to get out of bed on my Friday. I am usually so fried from getting up so early for a week. I also think I've got whatever Miss PB has; I've got a stuffy nose and my throat is sore. Her nose has been running for the last few days. My knee and hip joints have just been aching. I didn't do anything exercise related today.

We didn't really do anything for Easter, PB got a basket from Papa and another one that J guilted me into getting for her. I thought I only put a few peices of candy in there, but when she was done there were half chewed toosie rolls all over the place as she ran around double fisting lolipops, along with a ring pop on one of her fingers. We went to the park for a bit to run off some of the sugar.

I was hoping to go "downtown" tomorrow and get some new scrapbook stuff and see what Target has to tempt me, but I may wait until Wednesday instead.

Happy Spring

There is nothing like a brisk spring day at the park to put a big smile on one's face. Even I had a go on the slide. Miss Peanut Butter had so much fun she did not want to leave. She did get a kick out of the egg tree she spotted on the way home and squealed "Eeeser Eggs!"
